This colourful cottage porch is so full of flowers, Terry's lovely use of subtle colours in the shadow areas creates such light and contrast, making this a lovely painting. The lovely wet in wet techniques used to create the thatch contrast so well with the detailed textured brick work, then of course the riot of colour just make this a wonderful painting, so typical of what Terry loved painting.
