Hi from me, Martin at Terry Harrison Art, I hope this newsletter finds you well.
As you may or may not know my niche is photography which I like to use to explore the local region and exercise that creative side of my brain.I recently took the plunge and began to print off my images and try them out in frames.
The difference for me was immense, in terms of appreciation of my work, but also in terms of what was working and what I needed to improve in my photographs.
To add to the pressure I also approached a local coffee shop and we agreed that I could show some of my work on their walls and offer them for sale at a reasonable price.
The day that I hung them I was full of anticipation and I cannot describe how satisfying it was when those doors opened to the public and MY work was there for all to see.

It was daunting as well, the questions of “are they any good?”, “will anyone like them?”, “what if I don’t sell any?”, all went through my head, but in the end I was never going to know the answers without trying.
I have a couple of frames and mounts at home for myself and cycle my photographs.
If I have one that I think will work, I try it out in my frames and if its really something I like it stays on the wall, like this one of the various domes of the blue mosque in Istanbul from my honeymoon.

I urge you to give it a go, it will give you a new perspective on your art works and a definite thrill to see your work up on your wall!
We would love to see some of your works as well and maybe even (with your permission) share on future newsletters! email us at mail@terryharrisonart.com or post them to our Inspired to Paint Facebook group using the Facebook icon below or click here.Happy Painting!
