There are few paintings remaining of Terry's featuring a bluebell wood, and this one is lovely, with its rays of sunlight streaming across the painting.
Terry loved painting bluebell woods and would search them out in May time.
This is a lovely example, delicate brush textures and a haze of blue and mauve, with tree trunks reflecting in a foreground puddle.
Features in Terry’s book - Watercolour Secrets.
