Whenever Terry was near a harbour, he would seek out the boats with character, and these certainly have that. Lots of details and sumptuous rich colours coupled with multiple layers of colour in the water giving it a rich depth, make this a very lovely painting.
You can almost hear those boats gently bobbing on the water.
