There are times when you see something, and it looks just perfect. This is one of those views where everything looks right. I love the posts in the foreground and the bank of trees giving a lovely backdrop to this scene.
I like the way the broad brush strokes give the impression that the snow is blowing against the posts, it seems to suggest movement. Painted spontaneously and entirely in one sitting this small painting is one of my favourites.
