Terry enjoyed painting various views of the Basingstoke Canal, he spent many hours walking his dog along its banks as well as holidaying down the canal on a barge. He had a beautiful way of using subtle colours to convey calm and tranquil settings and this must be one of his favourite spots. Its such a typical Terry Harrison painting.
